Abstract
This study aims to establish a link between entrepreneurship and sustainable socioeconomic development of Pakistan through the contributory role of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). Using cross-sectional research design, data were collected through self-administered questionnaire from sample of 358 entrepreneurs. Data validity was determined by exploratory and confirmatory analyses and reliability through Cronbach Alpha. The linkages amid entrepreneurship and sustainable socioeconomic development were determined by using Structural Equation Modeling. Results indicated that over CPEC, local entrepreneurs’ entrepreneurial attitude and potential have improved and, entrepreneurship was significantly associated with
entrepreneurship and sustainable socioeconomic development of Pakistan, whereas the impact of CPEC had partially mediated association between Entrepreneurship and Sustainable Socioeconomic Development. CPEC has stimulated the entrepreneurial growth in Pakistan by directing the local entrepreneurs of Pakistan in a novel way to enter the Asian markets, thus helping them to contribute towards the entrepreneurship and sustainable socioeconomic development of Pakistan.
